Neuropsychology seeks to understand the relationship between our brain and our behaviour. The field takes learnings from neuroscience around the brain and nervous system and applies them to behaviour and cognitive functioning. In a similar way, somatic psychology pairs a person’s mental wellness with their physical functioning, taking into account a multitude of underlining factors including diet, hydration, exercise, sleep hygiene and more.

As I work towards completing my MSc in Psychology, I am laying the foundations for a PhD research project that explores empowerment and "best health" management of the nervous system, looking at the role of several neurotransmitters and neuromodulators in wellness, happiness and performance. In coaching, this includes enabling individuals to explore the impact of their lifestyle choices and habits on their mind, body, self identity and model of the world.
